The 22271VIC Certificate IV in Bereavement Support course had been developed by the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement using their significant industry expertise in providing bereavement counselling and support services.

Course Structure


With 11 compulsory core units, the Certificate IV in Bereavement Support offers a holistic approach to industry activities. While bereavement care and support work are the focus of the course, the content also incorporates communication, capacity building, and quality management as required in real workplace environment.

VU21615           Respond holistically to grief and loss in aged and palliative care settings

Credit Transfer

Students who
have previously completed any of the units imported from existing training packages (marked*) can apply for credit transfer and be exempt from having to undertake those units.


RPL + GAP Training


Prospective students with significant industry or workplace experience are encouraged to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), thus shortening the length of course and reducing the course fees.

Fees


The total cost of the course is $3,600 which is payable via a Payment Plan of $300 per month over a 12 month period.
The first payment of $300 is paid when you register into the course via the ACGB Website.


Financial Support


Given that the course is equivalent to a 6-month full time training and is approved by the Department of Human Services, students may be eligible for Centrelink payment while undertaking this course.

                        When Can I start?

The next Certificate IV in Bereavement Support Online Course will commence 1st October 2017
