The peer-reviewed journal Grief Matters: The Australian Journal of Grief and Bereavement, published by the Centre in-house since 1998, encompasses both academic and applied aspects of grief and bereavement and is a ranked journal with the Australian Research Council as part of the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative.

Bereavement Support Standards for Specialist Palliative Care Services

Following funding from the Victorian Government Department of Health, the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement, in partnership with the Centre for Palliative Care, have developed a set of bereavement support standards for use by professionals working in all Victorian government-funded, adult, specialist palliative care services, including community, inpatient, acute and consultancy services.

Bereavement Practice for Clinicians and Service Providers

Bereavement Practice for Clinicians and Service Providers is an e-newsletter that complements the Centre's Practitioner Consultancy Service, bringing up-to-date information and resource material to practitioners who are working with bereaved people, particularly those in agencies where loss, grief and bereavement is only one of a range of areas of work.

Bereavement Practice in Palliative Care

The provision of bereavement care is now an established and integral part of modern palliative care, with Australian and State Government palliative care policies including bereavement care as key action areas. As such, Bereavement Practice in Palliative Care is an initiative designed to deliver up-to-date grief and bereavement information, research and resources to professionals working in the palliative care sector.

Reference Library

One of the largest bereavement-focused collections in Australia, the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement Reference Library provides a valuable resource for staff, counsellors, educators, students and the general public.
