Sue Evans Fund for Families
July 30, 2010
The Sue Evans Fund for Families is a community charity inspired by Sue Evans who lost her life in the Black Saturday Bushfires. Sue's charity has been created to assist vulnerable families in the community. The charity will work in partnership with the ACGB and the Red Cross to:
- Assist people in their recovery from the Black Saturday bushfires
- Help to fund a book on traumatic grief to be written by the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement.
The first priority is to raise $25,000 specifically for the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement for a book on traumatic grief which will be free of charge to those affected by the Black Saturday bushfires and to help them to cope with multiple deaths.
The second priority is to help to prevent postnatal depression through mums' well-being groups.
