Letter from the CEO

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Conference Organising and Scientific Program Committees, we invite you to attend the second biennial Australian Grief and Bereavement Conference, which will take place in Melbourne from 11th to 13th May 2016. Two, one-day pre-conference workshops, conducted by Dr Robert Neimeyer and Dr Edward Rynearson, will also take place on the 9th and 10th May 2016.

This unique professional development opportunity will bring together a diverse range of world-class international keynote speakers alongside local presentations, pre-conference workshops and networking events.

The theme for the conference is Bereavement in a Modern World: Global and Individual Perspectives, and will highlight the unique contributions of grief and bereavement researchers and clinicians to our growing body of knowledge.

We are now inviting abstract submissions for the Conference. This is a rare opportunity to present to a bereavement-focused audience in Australia, and we encourage submissions from everyone with an interest in this field who would like to share their research and practice findings. Submissions must be made through an online abstract submission process.

Conference registrations are now open, with early bird registration available until Sunday 21st February 2016. You can register online here.

The second biennial Australian Grief and Bereavement Conference will enhance your knowledge, widen your personal and professional network, stimulate your clinical and research practice, while providing a relaxing and memorable time in a beautiful setting. We are very excited about this event and look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne in May 2016.

Yours sincerely
