12th International Conference on Grief and Bereavement in Contemporary Society

RE: Cancellation Announcement

On Wednesday 18th March 2020, the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a ban on non-essential, indoor gatherings of 100 people or more. The ban is effective as of 5.00pm, Wednesday 18th March 2020. This ban now directly effects the 12th International Conference on Grief and Bereavement in Contemporary Society which was scheduled for July.

Our main priority is ensuring, to the best of our ability, the health, safety and wellbeing off all those involved with the Conference and given the current global concern of COVID-19, we are left with no choice but to cancel the Conference.

We are profoundly disappointed that we will not proceed with the Conference given the excitement we have felt from our Keynotes, Sponsors, Presenters, Delegates and Staff.

We will now begin the work to refund all delegate, masterclass and function registration fees as soon as possible. If you have registered for the conference, please keep an eye on your inbox for further information regarding the refund process.

In addressing the strong interests of our delegates, we are excited to be able to announce that we are still showcasing our Keynote Speakers through an online platform during July 13th – 17th, 2020. As more details come to light, we will be excited to share this with you…so watch this space!

We thank you all for your support and understanding and we wish you all good health and wellbeing over the coming months.

Best Wishes,

Christopher Hall
