Undertaking the 12- month fully online course is the next step for those
who have a role in providing bereavement and loss support. The skills
and knowledge provided by the course may be for a specific bereavement

With 11 compulsory core units, the Certificate IV in Bereavement Support
offers a holistic approach to industry activities. While bereavement
care and support work are the focus of the course, the content also
incorporates communication, capacity building, and quality management as
required in real workplace environment.

Industry - Driven Teaching
The Certificate IV in Bereavement Support is an industry driven program with competency based training.
Students who have
previously completed any of the units imported from existing training
packages (marked*) can apply for credit transfer and be exempt from
having to undertake those units.
RPL + GAP Training
Prospective students with significant industry or
workplace experience are encouraged to apply for Recognition of Prior
Learning (RPL), thus shortening the length of course and reducing the
The total cost of the course is $3,600 which is payable via a Payment Plan of $290 per month over a 11 month period.
The first payment of $410 is paid when you register into the course via the ACGB Website.
Given that the course is equivalent to a 6-month full time training and
is approved by the Department of Human Services, students may be
eligible for Centrelink payment while undertaking this course.
