Lecture Overview:
Rituals and Processes of death across multiple religions

This free members lecture will explore the Rituals and Processes of death across the multiple religions.

Death is one thing everyone has in common and we are going inevitably face death ourselves. What sets us apart is the fact we all have different ways of mourning and grieving. How we handle death differs not only from person to person, but also from community to community. People come from diverse backgrounds and they bring a variety of cultures, religions, life experiences, traditions and expectations, and each of these can affect the way they will respond to impending death.
Having an understanding and gaining an appreciation for these diversities, allows us to respect the individuality of the people you come into contact with who is experiencing grief and loss, which may assist with how to respond.
This lecture brings together four key figures from four different faiths – Buddhism, Anglicanism, Catholicism, and Judaism – to give a deeper understanding into the ways and spiritual processes of their handling grief and loss. This is a rare opportunity to learn and resolving your questions around grief, loss and religion.
