Overview
Workshop participants are invited to bring de-identified/generic/complex cases for investigation and discussion by the group. The clinical supervision role will be investigated theoretically, practically and in alignment with core values in the context of the cases presented by the participants. Additionally, participants will explore the history, definition and significance of clinical supervision role in the work environment today and how to maximize the efficacy of the role.
Designed for
Professionals working with those experiencing grief and bereavement, such as support workers, group facilitators, counsellors, social workers, teachers, therapists, psychologists and other allied health professionals.
Learning Outcomes
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Embrace new strategies to manage “hard cases”.
- Development of theoretical knowledge of the clinical supervisor’s role.
- Understand the context around clinical supervision.
- How to maximize the efficacy of clinical supervision in the work environment.
Presenter
Keren Ludski

Keren Ludski has been counselling since 1998. She established her private practice, Peace of Mind, in 2002. Keren is a qualified and experienced professional educator, counsellor, counselling supervisor, VET trainer and assessor, facilitator and speaker. Within her private practice, Keren specialises in the area of grief and loss. Her passion is providing support to bereaved people and helping them to navigate their way around the grief process. She has a special interest in working with bereaved parents. Keren provides clinical supervision to therapists within her private practice and has experience in facilitating bereavement support groups. She is currently the Clinical Supervisor for the counselling team at the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement and is actively involved in the delivery of ACGB’s Graduate Certificate in Bereavement Counselling and Intervention course. Keren is a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association, Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association and is the Treasurer for the International Society of Counselling and Clinical Supervisors.
