Workshop Overview: 
Working with people who are dying can be an incredibly challenging aspect of the role of practitioners. Witnessing people at their most vulnerable can often leave practitioners feeling overwhelmed, helpless and uncomfortable. 
This workshop focusses on the physical, psychological and spiritual process of dying and the subsequent support needs of both the patient and their loved ones. 

Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to: 
Understand the physical, psychological and spiritual processes death and dying
Identify and understand the psychological and spiritual needs of the dying
Develop psychological, spiritual and practical strategies to better support someone who is dying
Gain overall confidence in being able to support the dying. 



Presenter Bio:

Robyn O’Connell is a funeral celebrant of 16 years, author, speaker and funeral celebrant trainer, with an extensive background in grief counselling and grief education.  As a presenter, she has spoken at numerous celebrant conferences across Australia as well at an international conference on grief and bereavement.  

She is the founder of Rebecca Jane Foundation (gifting beautiful farewells to angel babies) which launches in August.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement reserves the right to cancel education programs that do not achieve minimum participation, in which case all fees will be refunded.Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to the centre. Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days prior to the event date will be refunded less 25% of the registration fee to cover administration costs. No registration refunds will be made after this date.Please note: The full invoiced amount will still be payable in the event of non-attendance on the day.
