Prolonged grief is generally defined as intense grief which lasts for more than six months. This intense feeling of grief can have serious negative health consequences.

Learning Outcomes: At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Understand the symptoms and clinical presentation of Prolonged Grief Disorder (PGD)
Describe the proposed mechanisms thought to underpin PGD
Determine the differences and similarities between PGD, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder
Identify and implement tailored interventions designed specifically for treatment of PGD
