Workshop Overview: "Masterclass: Effective Brief Contact in a Single Session"

Building on skills obtained in our One- day workshop: Effective Brief Contact in a Single Session, participants will fine-tune these previously learned strategies to improve effectiveness with their clients or patients. Participants are invited to bring scenarios which they regularly encounter or which they dread. The trainer will explore with you and the group the relevant skills and approaches that would facilitate effective, yet brief, contact with the bereaved based on these scenarios. To get the most out of this training it is recommended that participants have experience working with the bereaved. 

The participants will leave the training with extensive practise in using these skills and gain insight into the benefits and challenges of such focused work. from the perspective of therapist and client.
 
Presenter: Anne Ogden

Anne is an experienced counsellor who received her training in psychology at the Flinders University of South Australia, then post graduate qualifications at the University of South Australia, and the University of Adelaide.

Anne is a Certified Grief Practitioner with the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement, and a Clinical Member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.  Anne has had extensive experience in the fields of palliative care, loss and grief, and bereavement.  This includes working with children.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement reserves the right to cancel education programs that do not achieve minimum participation, in which case all fees will be refunded.
Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to the centre. Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days prior to the event date will be refunded less 25% of the registration fee to cover administration costs. 
No registration refunds will be made after this date. Please note: The full invoiced amount will still be payable in the event of non-attendance on the day.
