Grief Australia is a provider of clinical supervision with a particular focus on practitioners working in the fields of grief and bereavement. A team of accredited clinical supervisors, who are also certified bereavement practitioners, are available to offer face to face telephone and online supervision to practitioners. The team have a diverse range of formal qualifications, extensive clinical knowledge, and counselling experience.
 
Clinical supervision is conducted within the context of a signed contract and adherence to Grief Australia’s Code of Conduct and Standards of Practice. Grief Australia supports a collaborative and reflective style of supervision consisting of educative, supportive, administrative, and ethical components.
 
We are pleased to offer both individual supervision and now small group supervision —you can choose the support format that works best for you.

 

  • $180 /session Individual Clinical Supervision

    Our individual supervision sessions are tailored to your practice and professional needs, giving you one-on-one guidance from a grief and bereavement-informed supervisor.

    These confidential sessions focus on:

    • Enhancing your grief and bereavement skills and knowledge

    • Improving clients’ outcomes

    • Supporting your professional wellbeing

    • Providing a reflective safe space to discuss client work

    The frequency of clinical supervision may be dependent on the number of clients a worker is supporting. Most professional counselling associations require a minimum of ten hours of supervision per year to fulfil membership requirements.

  • $125 /session/person Group Clinical Supervision

    Our group supervision sessions consist of six people, where you can connect with peers and enrich your practice in a collaborative setting. The group supervision program runs for four face-to-face sessions at a total of $500 per person.

    Our group supervision program offers:

    • Small groups of six qualified counsellors working in the bereavement field

    • Face-to-face sessions over four meetings

    • Grief and bereavement-informed supervision with an experienced facilitator

    • Opportunities for connection and shared learning

    • A reflective, safe supportive environment to explore real-world challenges
