Bushfire Counselling Vouchers

Additional bushfire counselling sessions still available

A reminder for people affected by the February 2009 bushfires to make the most of the free Psychological Counselling Voucher Program. The program will run until 10 August 2011, and vouchers can be used anytime during this period. People will not have to make any co-payment to the counsellor.

The program has been developed through a $3.5 million gift from the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund to assist people directly affected by the 2009 Victorian bushfires to access additional psychological counselling support. Six counselling vouchers are available for each person, including for dependant children over five years of age. Vouchers can be used to see a bereavement counsellor at the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement.
