Companion Animal Grief: Skills for Working with Grief and Trauma in Animal Loss/Death

Research into the complex dynamics of the human-animal bond has provided a greater understanding of the issues that arise when this bond is broken, and has raised awareness of the impact of pet bereavement in the community.  This workshop will explore the concept of animal bereavement as a disenfranchised grief experience.  The workshop will examine ways to support people who are grieving the loss/death of their companion animal.
