Membership

Two membership options are available for prospective Members of the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement:


Option 1: Membership to ACGB only

Membership with the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement provides a wide range of benefits, including:

  • Receive three copies per year of Grief Matters: The Australian Journal of Grief and Bereavement, our peer-reviewed journal.
  • Receive twice a year Connections, an exclusive members newsletter
  • Receive a 20% discount on all seminars and workshops offered by the Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement
  • Receive a members-only discount on selected publications from Open Leaves Bookshop
  • Journal Club - Invitation to meetings, which take place three times per year
  • Free member functions, including the annual Grief Lecture
  • Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting
All memberships are valid for one calendar year (1st January 2010 – 31st December 2010). All memberships will expire on the 31st December 2010.

Option 2: Membership to ACGB and ADEC

This reciprocal membership enables members to receive the full benefits of a membership to ACGB, plus the additional benefits of a membership to ADEC, the largest interdisciplinary organisation in the field of death, dying and bereavement.

The additional benefits include:

  • Online Subscription to Death Studies and Omega: Journal of Death and Dying - This includes access to back issues of these journals in HTML and PDF format
  • Discounted journal subscriptions for the Journal of Trauma and Loss, Mortality Journal, and Living With Loss
  • Discount on Professional Certification - For fees associated with Certified in Thanatology (CT) and Fellow in Thanatology (FT) certifications

All reciprocal memberships are valid for one calendar year (1st January 2010 – 31st December 2010). All memberships will expire on the 31st December 2010.

The reciprocal membership with ADEC represents significant savings. To purchase a subscription of these leading journals separately and to secure the other benefits listed would cost an individual member $1,435.27. The cost to an organisational member $2,109.73 and a Student/Concessional membership would be $1,413.27.
